Happy March, everyone!
This is one of my favorite times of the year—when the winter chill begins to lift, and you can feel that spring is just around the corner! This March feels like a time to stay focused on our goals, shift away from fear and anxiety, and make space for moments of childlike wonder. Below, you'll find a collective Tarot reading, offering insight into the energies and themes we'll be moving through this month.
What energy will we be moving through in March?
Six of Cups
The Six of Cups is one of my favorite cards in the deck. When it appears, it often represents an expansive, joyful energy, like a refreshing spring breeze on a warm day, or the first signs of daffodils pushing through the earth. Whatever you're experiencing this month, Spirit encourages you to bring your attention back to the present moment and reconnect with a sense of childlike wonder. Can you remember the carefree joy of playing outside in the spring as a child? What activities bring back those pleasant memories of childhood? Consider what opportunities you have this month to reconnect with play—whether it’s through an art project, baking chocolate chip cookies, or watching a favorite Disney movie!
How will the month feel?
Eight of Pentacles
The Eight of Pentacles is tied to our physical reality—our bodies, our work, and the daily routines that shape our lives. When this card shows up, it’s a reminder that we are deeply engaged in the work at hand, putting in consistent effort day in and day out. This kind of energy can sometimes feel monotonous, even boring, but it's also the kind of work that leads to significant, lasting results over time. If you're feeling stagnant or tempted to make a drastic change, remember that this is a normal part of life’s ebb and flow. Before making any adjustments to your work, hobbies, or routines, ask yourself if they align with your highest purpose, or if the urge for change is simply born of fleeting boredom.
Something to focus our attention on this month
Eight of Swords
The Eight of Swords invites us to examine areas of our lives where we feel stuck, challenged, or trapped. Often, this feeling arises from a sense of being caught in a repetitive cycle, trying to change something but seeing no progress. Spirit gently nudges us to remember that while it may seem like we’re stuck, sometimes we're being led through difficult situations for our ultimate transformation. Can you surrender to the experience? If something in your life no longer feels aligned, try shifting your perspective. Seeking advice from a trusted friend might also offer new insights. Just as with the Eight of Pentacles, sometimes the path forward involves simply changing the way we view a situation and persevering until we reach the other side. Infusing your week with moments of play, as suggested by the Six of Cups, can help ease any discomfort and provide the energy needed to push through challenging moments.
An aligned action to take this month, if any
Seven of Swords
The Seven of Swords signals the need for a pause—a moment to turn inward and do the mental and emotional work necessary for growth. This card suggests that there may be a lot of mental chatter swirling around, both from within and from external influences. You might find yourself overwhelmed by chaotic thoughts, doubts, or fear. However, Spirit encourages us to pay close attention to our own thoughts and beliefs. This is a time to filter out the noise and protect your peace. With so much going on, you may feel mentally drained. The most aligned action you can take this month is to carve out spaces of stillness, joy, and peace in your schedule, while distancing yourself from any negative external input.
Though March will require us to stay focused and work hard—both physically and mentally—on our goals and creating more peace in our lives, there will still be moments for rest, play, and connection to joy. With the New Moon on February 27th, we’ve entered the portal of eclipse season, and starting March 5th, we also enter the season of Lent. Both symbolize a time of quiet, internal reflection. This month will continue to challenge us to grow and evolve, but even during this transformative process, there will still be space for pleasure and lightness. Take time to appreciate the first hints of spring and the emerging flowers—they are signs that new life is arriving, and so is the potential for fresh beginnings.
Sending Love,
Melissa
